FAQ
Buying coconut commodities, answered
What does Silk Chains supply?
A focused coconut-commodity range: desiccated coconut sourced across Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia, and Indonesian coconut oil in three grades, crude (CNO), RBD and virgin (VCO). A few adjacent tropical commodities will follow.
Why source through a Singapore counterparty?
Singapore is a neutral, trade-finance-friendly jurisdiction. You contract with a Singapore Pte. Ltd. on bankable terms, LC at sight or TT, Incoterms FOB/CFR/CIF, and reputable contract standards, which lowers counterparty risk versus dealing direct at origin.
What are your trade terms and minimum order?
We quote FOB / CFR / CIF with LC at sight or TT. Minimum order is typically a full container load (FCL); samples are available for spec approval. Exact terms are confirmed on each quotation.
Can you hold one specification across different origins?
Yes, that is the point of a multi-origin approach. We publish a target spec and qualify each origin against it before shipment, so what lands stays consistent even when the origin underneath it changes.
How do I request a quote?
Send an RFQ with the commodity, grade, origin preference, quantity (MT), destination port and Incoterm. We come back with an indicative offer, spec sheet and lead time.
