Coconut Oil
Indonesian coconut oil across the full range, crude (CNO), RBD and virgin (VCO), in flexitank, ISO tank, drums or IBC.
Coconut oil spans three grades that serve very different buyers. Crude coconut oil (CNO) is a feedstock for refiners and the oleochemical industry. RBD coconut oil, refined, bleached and deodorised, goes into food and industrial applications. Virgin coconut oil (VCO) is a premium, naturally processed grade for food and cosmetic use.
Grades and uses
CNO is bought on FFA, moisture and colour and is destined for further processing. RBD is the workhorse food and industrial grade, supplied to a tight specification (FFA max 0.1 percent, moisture max 0.1 percent, iodine value 7.5 to 10.5, melting point 24 to 26 C). VCO is valued for its low FFA and natural aroma, and serves both food and cosmetic buyers.
Origin and supply
Silk Chains supplies the full oil range from Indonesia, the world’s deepest coconut-oil origin, which gives buyers depth of supply and competitive pricing. Where a specific requirement calls for another origin, we will discuss it. As with desiccated coconut, the value is a reliable counterparty who holds spec and keeps supply moving.
Packaging and trade terms
We ship in flexitank, ISO tank, 200 kg drums and IBC, matched to your volume and destination. Oils are contracted on FOSFA-style terms where applicable, on FOB, CFR or CIF, with payment by LC at sight or TT. Specification, packaging, Incoterm and lead time are all agreed up front.
